Chris Hayes is a qualified forester and steward of smallholdings who discovered scything as a healthier, quieter alternative to petrol strimming. He’s been teaching scything throughout Ireland since around 2012 and also supplies high‑quality Austrian-style scythes and accessories via his website. His courses are grounded in traditional technique and ecological awareness, giving learners real confidence to use, sharpen and care for their scythes.
