Rekindle Festival of Lost Skills 2025

Rekindle is an intergenerational micro-festival of Lost Skills, with an aim to rekindle and celebrate arts and traditional skills and practices, music and culture and the people who carry them.

The festival returns this August for two days of living heritage, community action and cultural celebration as part of National Heritage Week on the 15 + 16 August

This year’s programme includes:
🔸 LASRAÍ – our intercultural opening concert at Common Knowledge (Fri 15 Aug) - Tickets for Lasraí
🔸 Rekindle Festival Day – live skill-sharing, céilí dancing, artisan markets, SPREAG talks, workshops, and a closing session in the heart of Ennistymon (Sat 16 Aug): Tickets Here
🔸 Land & Lore Artisan Food Market, traditional crafts, heritage trail + more

We’re now inviting expressions of interest from:
- Craftspeople and makers
- Farmers, growers, foragers and food producers
- Musicians, dancers, storytellers
- Community groups or individuals keeping traditional or place-based knowledge alive
- Skill-holders from Ireland and beyond

Whether you’re weaving baskets, saving seeds, spinning stories, or sharing songs passed down through generations - we want to hear from you.

Project Coordinator

  • Aoife Hammond

    Aoife Hammond is a musician, programmer and producer and community facilitator. They have spent over 15 years working in the social enterprise and community and cultural sectors in Ireland most recently co-founding Fulacht Fia Café – a community café in County Leitrim and previously as manager of The Dublin Food Coop in Dublin 8. Aoife also works as a musician, community activist and independent events organiser, facilitating and promoting events in solidarity with grassroots organisations.
