The Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC) is registered as a non-governmental agricultural organization which supports farmers and landworkers in Palestine. Their vision is to see a ‘A free Palestinian farmer, committed to her/his national, socio-economic and cultural rights, a believer in democratic practices, within a food secured society with sovereignty over its resources’. Through empowering farmers steadfastness and sovereignty on their resources within a sustainable community-based liberational developmental framework.
Their main objectives are:
Objective 1: Promoting small farmers’ steadfastness and sustainability of their livelihoods.
Objective 2: Promoting sovereignty over natural resources and adapting them with climate change.
Objective 3: Enhancing UAWC’s capacity to respond to emergencies, instability and changing circumstances.
Objective 4: Protecting and defending farmers’ national and democratic rights.
This event is perfect for anyone interested in sustainable practices, nature, biodiversity, heritage and history. It’s also a great opportunity to meet like-minded people and connect with others in the community, all while raising much needed funds for the Palestinian UAWC.
