Situated on 50 acres of natural bogland in the UNESCO Burren & Cliffs of Moher Geopark, The Common Knowledge Centre offers a serene and regenerative environment for events, workshops, retreats, and gatherings.
It brings us joy to be able to share this special place with others outside of our courses calendar. Nature connection, inclusivity, community and sustainability are part of everyday life here, and the centre has welcomed guests whilst protecting the land, for over 30 years.

Our event spaces can host groups ranging in size from 8 to 120
The Octagon (122sqm) and The Studio (38sqm) are warm, naturally-lit spaces offering both offering beautiful and serene views.

Surrounded by 50 acres of peaceful nature
Accessed via a beautiful standing stone circle, visitors to our nature trail brings are guided through a beautiful and diverse landscape of peatlands, meadows, grasslands, hedgerows native Irish trees.

Our organic permaculture garden is home to beehives, edible flowers, herbs, vegetables, an orchard and a chicken coop. Fresh seasonal produce is harvested and brought in to the kitchen weekly, and with the Common Knowledge Kitchen situated less than 20 metres away, it doesn’t take much to go from farm-to-fork!

Accommodation for up to 30 people
We have a range of accommodation options at The Common Knowledge Centre, and can host up to 30 guests across our 12 guest rooms, or 12 guests with single occupancy. In the warmer months from April to October, our capacity extends to 50 people, through the use of our Orchard Campsite.
Catering by The Common Knowledge Kitchen
Our renowned resident chefs are passionate about creating wholesome, delicious food to suit all event types. Our dedication to sustainability means that whenever possible, we use locally sourced, organic and seasonal produce, as well as the harvest from our organic permaculture garden.
We hold a wine licence and have a range of thoughtfully selected natural and organic wines to compliment our menu.

Close to Galway, Limerick, Ennis and the M18
We are located between Galway and Ennis, 30 mins from the M18 and within short drive of Shannon Airport. We offer parking free of charge for up to 30 vehicles on site and can accommodate coaches.

All our main event spaces are wheelchair accessible and feature accessible toilets, and we have an accessible double en-suite room in our lodge.
