Who is this course for?
Designed to elevate your BBQ skills and enhance your seasonal cooking, Ash has crafted this weekend course to offer a hands-on experience with grilling and summer flavours. Perfect for food lovers looking to enhance their BBQ skills in a relaxed environment, this course will help you master a range of techniques. You can also purchase this course as a gift here.
What will you learn?
On this course, you will:
Grill Meats & Veggies to Perfection: Learn how to grill a selection of meats and vegetables, including pork and chicken Greek-style souvlaki skewers, pomegranate and lemon harissa sticky sausages, and veggie options like charred aubergines for baba ganoush and grilled leeks with beetroot tahini and hazelnuts. There will be something for everyone at your BBQ.
Create Salad Sensations: Discover how to prepare vibrant salads that pair perfectly with your BBQ spread. Highlighting seasonal summer ingredients such as tomatoes, courgettes, and green beans, you’ll learn how to make dishes like a baby gem and new potato salad with feta buttermilk dressing, and a tomato salad with lime and cardamom yoghurt.
Decadent Desserts: Finish your meal on a sweet note with indulgent desserts. Our chefs will guide you through recipes and techniques to create treats that are both delicious and visually stunning.
What will you take away?
By the end of this course, you’ll have practical BBQ skills that you can bring into your summer gatherings, along with a refreshed confidence in the kitchen. You’ll leave with the ability to prepare a variety of BBQ dishes, salads, and desserts with ease, all while knowing how to balance seasonal flavours.
You’ll also gain an understanding of how to use fresh, seasonal ingredients to their fullest potential. Whether using homegrown veggies or those you find at the market, you’ll have the confidence to adapt recipes based on what you have at hand.
Create lasting memories as you explore new recipes, connect with fellow food enthusiasts, and enjoy delicious meals together.
How is the course structured?
We start each day with breakfast together. You will learn about the various tools and techniques you will need as they come up in our lessons. We prepare lunch for ourselves and other guests each day, giving us some real-life demands to meet! The second half of each day will involve a demonstration of desert preparation with delicious results for all.
