Sharing skills for a truly sustainable life.
Common Knowledge is an award-winning, non-profit social enterprise located at the gateway to the Burren, on Ireland’s beautiful Wild Atlantic Way. We share skills in building, making, mending and growing, because we believe that between us all, we have the knowledge needed to create a truly sustainable future. Based on 50 acres, our Centre is a haven for learning, exploring and connection with other people, offering serene accommodation for people and groups.

From Curious Observer to Active Ecosystem Restorer
If you have ever looked at our changing climate and wondered how you can make a meaningful difference locally, this is the project that changes that. Peatlands in Practice - Free Events brings together community led action, hands-on ecosystem restoration workshops, and guided tours, giving you the skills to confidently understand how bogs function, how to re-wet degraded land, and how to actively support biodiversity recovery.
Whether you want to learn practical ecological skills, explore the unique heritage of the Irish landscape, or simply connect with like-minded people, you will leave with a profound understanding of how we can heal our landscapes together.
