Seasonal Permaculture at Home

4 part series of Weekend Workshops

If you’re interested in growing your own organic food, it’s time to get your hands dirty.

Permaculture is a holistic design philosophy and ecological approach that seeks to create sustainable, resilient, and regenerative systems for humans, agriculture, and ecosystems. Permaculture’s three core ethics of Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share, fit perfectly with the Common Knowledge ambitions of living a truly sustainable life.

Our four part course is designed to guide and support you throughout the seasonal year.

It is an exploration of Permaculture principles and practices, as they apply to each of the seasons. Local experts will teach the concepts, strategies, and practical hands-on activities needed to help participants integrate permaculture into their own lives and landscapes.

By learning how to design and maintain sustainable, regenerative, ecosystems and garden spaces we become more in tune with the changing patterns of nature.

No two seasonal courses will be the same, they are designed to build on the learnings of the previous course. We hope that our course participants will come back season after season and follow the course path, as we build a community of like minded people who can support each other through their permaculture journeys.

Friday evenings will be an introductory session on permaculture principles and ethics, and a recap of the previous seasons learnings for any new arrivals. If you’ve been to one Friday session then you won’t need to attend the succeeding ones.

Saturday and Sunday will be a mix of indoor lessons, and plenty of hands-on practical sessions in our 50 acre outdoor classroom!
